Cheesy Garlic Breadstick š
Making garlic bread š„is not as easy as it seems, but itās a must try during these lockdown days with all the time in hand to experiment and explore. š
So, letās get started with this delicious yet doable recipe .š
INGREDIENTS
FOR DOUGH -:
FLOUR 1 Cup
OIL 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Sugar 1/2 tbsp
Oregano 1 tbsp
Chilly flakes 1/2 tbsp
Sour curd 1/4 Cup
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
Baking Soda 1/4 tsp
Milk 2 tbsp
Water as required.
P.S. You can substitute Sour Curd , Baking powder and baking soda with Activated Yeast. š
FOR FILLING -:
Chopped Garlic 8-10 cloves
Butter 50 gms ( Amul butter - 1/2 slab)
Processed Cheese 2 cubes
Mozzarella Cheese 50 gms
Oreganos 1 tbsp
Chilly flakes 1/2 tbsp
Letās make the Dough! š©āš³šš
Step 1-Making of the dough-
Add 1 cup of flour in a bowl and then,
Add Salt, 1/2 tbsp sugar, 1tbsp oregano, 1/2 tbsp chilly flakes, 1/2 tsp baking powder, & 1/4 tsp baking soda.
Mix it well!š
Add 2 tbsp Oil to the mixture and then,
Add 1/4 Cup sour curd to the mixture.
Start mixing the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients
Add 2 tbsp Milk in 3-4 batches to get the perfect dough. You can also add water if required after that.
(Make sure that the dough is not sticky / loose)
Knead the dough for good 10 minutes with Oil in between.
and then
Rest the dough in warm place for 45-60 mins and cover it with a dampen cloth
with some oil on the top.
The dough is Readyš
Step 2 - Rolling and filling the dough -
After 60 mins, take the dough and again knead it for 2 mins.
Now, with a rolling pin roll out the dough of about 6 inches in diameter(not too thick , not to thin)
Then take 50 gms melted butter and add 4-5 finely chopped garlic cloves, 1tbsp Oregano, & 1/2tbsp chilly flakes. Mix it well.
Apply 3/4th of the butter mixture all over the garlic bread base. Grease it well.
Add grated 2 cubes of processed cheese and 50 gms of mozzarella cheese along with 4-5 finely chopped garlic cloves on half of the base.
Sprinkle some oregano, chilly flakes and salt.
(You can also add any veggies like corn, jalapeƱos , olives, etc)
Now overlap the other half of the bread with each other (as shown below).
Seal the edges of the dough very nicely to gain the best desired results. You can apply water on the edges and then seal it. You can also so some styling and lock the edges with a fork.
Now, grease the garlic bread with 1/4th of the butter mixture and sprinkle some extra oregano for some good flavour.
Make the straight line marks on the dough to make it easier for it cut once baked. Do not cut the garlic bread into pieces, just mark the lines softly with a knife.

Now,
Place the cheese garlic bread in preheated over for 15-20 mins at 200C.
